Why We Decided to Pause Our Book Club and Group Hypnotherapy Sessions

At Fifth Element, every offering is an experiment in service, clarity, and community care. We try things, we watch what resonates, and we adjust. That’s how any healthy, values‑aligned business operates: we test, we learn, and we refine.

Over the past year, we hosted a monthly Book Club and a series of group hypnotherapy sessions. Both were designed as low‑cost, low‑barrier ways for people to gather, learn, and practice resilience together. And while the content was strong and the intention was solid, participation simply didn’t follow. After several months of minimal attendance, it became clear that these formats weren’t meeting the current needs or rhythms of our community.

So we made the strategic decision to pause both offerings.

This isn’t failure. It’s data.

When something doesn’t gain traction, we don’t force it. We listen. We redirect energy toward what is working, and we stay open to what might work next. That’s the heart of sustainable, liberation‑centered business design: nothing is fixed, everything is iterative, and we honor what is actually alive in the community rather than clinging to what “should” work.

That said, these offerings are not gone forever.

If you have a group—friends, colleagues, a workplace team, a healing circle, a community cohort—that would benefit from a dedicated Book Club series or a private group hypnotherapy session, reach out. Both offerings can be revived for groups who are ready to participate with intention and consistency.
